Somewhat infamously, Geoffrey Chandler -- at best only a fringe member of Sydney Push -- fled the Nash Gallery party and instead met his girlfriend at another party given by Push stalwart Ken Buckley: Kenneth Donald Buckley. (boglechandler.com)

By doing so, of course, Geoffrey Chandler helped himself set up an alibi as, there, he'd enounter Pamela Ruth Logan. But what was Sydney Push anyway? much more here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sydney_Push

Perhaps it would be a mistake to overstate OZ magazine's relation to Push, but nevertheless their co-existence chronologically insists an attempt be made. Note: OZ was cheeky. In June, after the high-profile deaths of Margaret Chandler and Dr Gilbert Bogle, the editors weighed in. The bodies of the couple had been found in a park after a barbecue and the case, which has never been solved, scandalised Sydney. OZ ran a cover picture of the party hosts with the line: "Apart from that, it was a good party".
